We’re all about great food
Delicious food and a great atmosphere, what more can we say! Our roots are South African but our foodie influences are global and that’s reflected in our menu. It means you can enjoy something different every time you visit! We work with quality ingredients, choosing seasonal wherever possible and every meal is freshly prepared.
Steak is a speciality at The Little Angel – all our meat is carefully sourced for quality and taste. Only the best will do and we make sure to cook it exactly how you want it. Our Sunday Carvery is pretty special, too. Save yourself hours in the kitchen, make the weekend a little more special and bring friends and family to join us for a slap-up meal with every trimming you could possibly want!
You’re just as welcome to pop in for a sandwich or a drink. We have Brakspear’s award-winning ales on draught, plus several guest ales available at all times. And, naturally, we serve a great selection of gins. The coffee is pretty good, as well!

Around and about Henley
Think of Henley-on-Thames and Regatta week will immediately spring to mind. Yes, the town is unashamedly proud of its rowing heritage and fame – many an Olympic rower has competed here. Yes, the river is a focal point for any visitors to Henley, whether you want to amble along the Thames path, take a boat trip or try your hand at canoeing. But there are plenty of other things to do, as well.
Explore the town and discover a wealth of quirky shops. If it looks familiar, you may well recognise Henley from the TV series ‘Midsomer Murders’. Explore beyond and discover the beautiful Chilterns. Step back in time and visit Greys Court, originally built in Medieval times and modified throughout the centuries, and Nuffield Place, once home to the man behind the iconic Morris Minor. Stonor Park is also well worth a visit – time it right and you could also find yourself enjoying an open-air movie, vintage car rally or craft show.
We’re just a short hop from Hambleden, home to The Chiltern Valley Winery & Brewery – the tasting tours come highly recommended! And if festivals are your thing, then Henley has plenty to offer. As well as the Regatta, the town hosts an annual literary festival that attracts top names, and Rewind Festival takes place literally down the road from The Little Angel. The Henley Farm and Country Show is a must for anyone interested in farming and agriculture and – back to water-based activities – the Thames Traditional Boat Festival brings together an incredible array of boats and, surprisingly, planes!
